A deliberately out of focus take of the flowers outside Dads front door - as we were on our way out for a meal at the local pub.
It has been a busy time, clearing out a little more of the house each time we visit as Dad is a bit of a collector, It is good that he is finally allowing us to sort and tidy and clear out some of the broken and useless things that have been kept 'just in case' over the last forty years.
I like this one because the patterns remind me of the patterns in the lacework of the christening gown mum made. If anyone remembers that story which I posted a while back, this was my first opportunity to check out the results following its unfortunate journey through a washing machine. Each carefully created piece of lacework is still beautifully in tact. I was so very happy and surprised to find that no harm had been done.
All in all, a calm, peaceful and productive weekend - thank you for your kind good wishes.
@domenicododaro thank you most kindly @flowerfairyann thanks Ann @suzanne234 thanks Suzanne - the lacework of my Mums was so precious to me, it was beyond my dreams to find it perfectly in tact. @moonmtn thanks, it is surprising how a completely random out of focus shot can be so attractive! @taffy thanks - that's the beauty of abstract august.
