Abstract August 27

Sunday lunch cooked for family and father-in-law, and a gentle stroll down to the band stand to hear the Bedford Town Band in the final performance of the summer. I'm sat in a deckchair with my camera and enjoying the sunshine and wondering whether I will ever look at things the same way again after Abstract August!

As mentioned yesterday, I had a couple of hours with my eyes under every examination known to man and have now been discharged from the clinic. That couple of hours was like being in an abstract gallery with different patterns and colours of light in all shapes and sizes being thrust before my eyes. At one point, during the dilated pupils phase, I looked across where the gel dispenser had been on the wall, and even that had become an abstract display. If only I could have taken photos with my eyes, I could have filled an album for a year. Thank fully, you have been saved that particular ordeal.
The story of the gentle stroll and the Sunday lunch goes well with this focus!

Well, with dilated pupils and such, you still could have held the camera up and taken a shot for the "Shoot Without Looking" theme! Nice abstract.

Hope you can see clearly now the 'rain' has gone?! You've certainly come up with a great etsooi theme, seeing all those strange and abstract things with your eyes wide shut ;-)

@maggiemae I have a whole collection from yesterday, in various ranges of focus.
@olivetreeann well there is an idea - only my consultant, who reveals very little recognition of his patient as a human being with feelings let alone having a sense of humour, would not have been amused.
@onewing thanks Babs, a very pleasant way to while away a sunny sunday afternoon.
@ziggy77 thanks Jo. Yes, surgery all considered to be successful - although sight just as poor as it ever was.
@cruiser thanks Chirs for the double complement! Yes, all clear for the eyes.
@stimuloog As clearly as I ever will I think Marloes. Thanks.
