@pistache@moonmtn@dide@domenicododaro@onewing@cruiser@flowerfairyann@suzanne234 thank you all for your lovely comments (and for sticking with me when I'm not being very responsive to your wonderfully creative projects) I managed not to get wet here, despite the proximity of the waves, and the buildings on the pier house cafes, shops, and an alternative amusement arcade with activities such as 'bash the banker' and 'crossing a motorway with a zimmer frame' There is also a rather splendid water clock designed to showcase recycling. Also, if you get your fish and chips from the pier on the first Saturday of any month, they are gluten free. Classy pier eh?
i love the juxtaposition of the very static and quite graphic pier against the powerful foreground waves.. for me, the triangular composition is very dynamic and arresting - it is quite compelling, the eye just has to follow those fabulous lines, both real and implied.. i, also, like the negative space above the pier - it gives somewhere for the energy to dissipate. Helen, i think super image this oozes vibrancy and class..
