My final composition focussing on lines comes from the rspb headquarters in Sandy, where tall pines dominate the landscape.
After a very late night, and an early morning this morning, it was either sleep or walk to stay awake and as the sun had made an appearance we decided to wrap up warm and take a wander.
For those that wished me well with the sink full of spinach, thank you. Seared in a little olive oil with some finely chopped onion and garlic, and a little grated nutmeg, then left to "wilt", and I had the perfect accompaniment to the pork escallops wrapped in Parma ham.
And so a new week begins. Next week's focus on Flash of Red is textures. The Dogwood Challenge has me thinking about filling the frame in composition and the selfie challenge is all about relationships. So, plenty to think on there.
And after all that decluttering, and entertaining, I am ready for an early night tonight. Just enough time to have a little peep at everything you have been posting.
marvellous! great in b&w. an interesting angle, fitting for these mighty trees. i might just have cropped out the bush/tree on the left-hand edge? might you consider also tagging for the latest technique challenge, which is low pov?
Looks good in black and white. I thought the same as Clare @pistache I would crop off the tree on the left too.
Your dinner party meal sounds delicious.
@pistache thanks for the suggestion, I was trying to balance out with the tree top sticking over on the right, but can see that I cropped off too much of the one on the left for that to work. Tried taking it out altogether and I agree it works better. I haven't changed this one because I cant do it the way I want in picmonkey.
@judithg no - I haven't seen so many birds on my visit there, other than the usual garden birds. But it makes for a lovely walk and a change from my immediate surroundings.
