Continuing with the backfill as I work through a host of hastily snatched images. (the family dynamics were never going to allow peaceful composition and contemplation of the scene). Many of my choice, I am unable to post here. I have a family - at least my own generation - that do not indulge in social media whatsoever, and most would be horrified if I suggested they feature online. They are demanding, however, to see my photos from the weekend and I am discovering the lengthy process of working raw files into jpegs. Sometimes, I am not even sure if what I end up with is as good as the jpg that the camera created for me - but I guess it is all a learning process.
I thought I would pause to post this one. It was on the point of being discarded as I framed it wrongly and ended up with far too much of the background looking like it was supposed to be the subject but out of focus. A heavy crop, however, produced this - which I rather like.
Still on Whistling sands. We liked this beach so much that we spent the longest here, and even came back again the next day.
