It was so worth the evening climb to get this view as the sun was setting out at sea. Usually when I have the chance to catch a sunset, the choice of pov is limited, or at least very obvious, but here, there were options - and each have their merits. I may have to post a different one at some point as I just can't decide.
My sister was getting a tad anxious as I lingered in awe. She was mindful of the climb down which we didn't want to be doing in the dark. So reluctantly, I put away the camera and set to on the descent.
my goodness. well this one was a great choice in my view. just love that ripply textured-glass effect on the water. and i like the jagged edge of the silhouette against the crisp straightness (is that a word? time for bed) of the horizon. rather lovely clouds and touch of sun flare too. oh, and the fireball reflection. a handful of favs if only that were possible
Helen, this is lovely, so subtle and romantic. You just needed Poldark galloping across the scene on his black stallion. ,...Sorry, that's my middle aged mind getting carried away! It's a beautiful scene, and looks nice on black too.
