Old Man's Beard by helenhall

Old Man's Beard

Since I learned that yesterday's post of 'Winter Fluff', was in fact a Clematis, otherwise known as 'Old Man's Beard, I thought I would post one of my captures that actually looks rather like Old Man's Beard.

Apparently it is also known as travellers joy. And whilst I wasn't travelling far to find them, they did bring me joy.

So much so, that I think I will select one of my other shots for my extras album today - along with another interesting anecdote that I discovered along the way of investigation.

For those who were asking, I understand that these plants are less of a problem in UK where they are native, but they do still need some control measures.

love the light on the old man's beard and the subtle curves, as if the wind is blowing through the hairs

So feathery and light- great back lighting and pretty shot! Not bad for an old man's beard!

It's so well named, and your backlighting works really well.
