Moving on from the wild garlic in the woods, I was drawn to this patch of light over the small white flowers which I have identified as greater stitchwort. The woods are a site of special scientific interest, and so we are not free to wonder through some parts, but even along the footpaths, there were relatively few people about and still much to delight.
It is so good that only specific areas are to be walked on. I hate it when people just wander over the woodland trampling down the plants and God forbid even picking the flowers.
