Up, Up and Away

The bi-plane had become this dot in the distance before I had managed to find a position for a clear and unobstructed view but it is a happy reminder for me, of an ambition being fulfilled.

Later on that day, one of the two Tiger Moths flying with the Classic Wings company from the same airfield (but not the one M was in) had to make a crash landing in a nearby field. And elsewhere, in Kent, tragically a Tiger Moth came down with both pilot and passenger killed.

I hadn't realised we were taking quite such a risk.
Sad story... but I am glad you captured the bi-plane.

goodness me. that's sad to hear. but this dot in the distance is so much more than a dot, and in a wonderfully painterly sky as well

Phew, I hadn't realised it was so risky either - you would not have got me up there for anything even if it was as safe as being on the ground ...

The pilots must have been frightfully slack - the tiger moth can take just about anything!

Such a beautiful sky and reminder of the special day in your lives. I’m so sorry to hear the sad news about the others.
