Ilam church

We took an hour's detour from our schedule to get to Ilam and were only there for less than an hour, but my Father considered it to be the most wonderful part of the trip and so I am glad that we did it.

It seems strange therefore, that I am using so many days posting from the photos that I took in that short time, but I am going with what I have got - in order to keep going!

The distinctive hill that looks as though it has been decapitated is Thorpe Cloud - a limestone hill which is popular amongst walkers.
It is a truly beautiful place!

I like the composition and general tones. Thorpe Cloud is interesting in its stature. Very unusual

What an interesting image ..... that moody sky makes it very atmospheric and the light on the hills in the background gives excellent depth ...... nicely taken. fav.

What a beautiful church. I looked through your album going back and this seems to be the point before life became strange for all of us. A lovely feeling one gets from being in this presence.
