We have a competition coming up at camera club called gregarious architecture. Well, apart from the fact that there are hardly any buildings in my town that I would call architecture at all, gregarious is not a word I would easily use to describe architecture.

I was thinking about it when walking to work and then saw this reflection of two houses that look to be happily in conversation with each other.

I thought they met the brief pretty well although I am certain the judges would not agree.
I like the back story, but this also makes a wonderful abstract. I think you are working well with what you have at hand. We sure don't have any gregarious architecture in my little town, either.

Maybe think outside the box Helen.
How about a large Wood Ants nest, or a wasps nest, or a large Heronry, or Rookery ???
Does architecture have to be designed by humans ?

I like this -- so abstract, yet so distinct. The colors are rich.

I love your interpretation of the theme! It shows your trademark creativity, which is always a joy to behold. Good luck!

That surely is a difficult theme for a photo. I love what you have done though, it is a great abstract.

@granagringa thank you! It really is a challenge.
@ivan thanks Ivan, and lovely to have your visit
@dkbarnett thanks Delwyn. I did it in jest really - the topic is too difficult for me.
@janetb - ah thank you! it is just my way out of a tricky spot. And much more fun than addressing the real challenge.
@haskar thank you . I am glad you could see the conversation.
@carolmw thanks Carol. I do love taking reflections. @flowerfairyann hi Ann, thanks for your comment.
@kjarn thank you Kathy. Yes the colours appeal to me too.
@onewing ah well I wouldn't dare actually submit it for the competition. Most likely to get a very stuffy response.
@jyokota thank you Junko. I appreciate your comment. @ljmanning Laura, thank you for taking the time to comment. @markp I like your idea of thinking outside the box - it doesn't usually go down well in camera club. Not that I am that bothered, and I like your suggestions.
@theredcamera thank you for your kind comment. I think I will need to look outside my home town for anything gregarious.
