We are enjoying spending some time exploring from my childhood home. Today we visited Bollington - and it seemed to us like the perfect place to be. This land mark is on top of a hill rising from behind the small town and we took a lovely walk along the ridge and back along the valley, stopping for a picnic lunch.
As a child and teenager I wasn't much interested in walking, and too consumed with teenage angst to be interested in the countryside around. In my 20s I was too busy enjoying life to visit much, in my 30s we had young children in tow and were limited as to the types of exploring we could do and from then on, my parents seemed always to be in crisis and needing care, so visits were to help out rather than take trips out.
So only now are we appreciating what Cheshire has to offer.
@phil_howcroft I'm editing on the phone at the moment which means I can't really see what I am doing. So the grain is a surprise to me when viewed on the laptop! But I'm OK with it.
