Took my old compact camera with me out yesterday as it wouldn't be convenient to carry the mirrorless round all the shops. There are a series of lakes by the shopping area and a few marked walks and I thought I would take the opportunity to re-familiarise myself with the camera so that I can have it on hand more frequently when out and about.
What a disaster! Rather than enjoying the walk, I spent so much time struggling to understand just why the camera was not behaving as I expected it to, and trying to remember the settings.
It was hard enough in any case finding much of interest on a grey, wet and muddy day. So, in keeping with my current obsession, I have taken some of what I did get and created an impression of my walk with a combination of shots.
Other than that, it was a good day. Met the objective of selecting two birthday presents and managed to get two pairs of jeans half price - (and two sizes smaller than the ones that had become too small just over a year ago!).
Great effect. Don't spoil your day with tech issues. Even their creators don't understand how it works. That's why now nothing is repaired, but parts are replaced.
