To the muddy fields. by helenhall

To the muddy fields.

Took my old compact camera with me out yesterday as it wouldn't be convenient to carry the mirrorless round all the shops. There are a series of lakes by the shopping area and a few marked walks and I thought I would take the opportunity to re-familiarise myself with the camera so that I can have it on hand more frequently when out and about.

What a disaster! Rather than enjoying the walk, I spent so much time struggling to understand just why the camera was not behaving as I expected it to, and trying to remember the settings.

It was hard enough in any case finding much of interest on a grey, wet and muddy day. So, in keeping with my current obsession, I have taken some of what I did get and created an impression of my walk with a combination of shots.

Other than that, it was a good day. Met the objective of selecting two birthday presents and managed to get two pairs of jeans half price - (and two sizes smaller than the ones that had become too small just over a year ago!).
You got a beautiful shot out of your frustrating day. I love the result. fav.

I like your post processing Helen

Great effect. Don't spoil your day with tech issues. Even their creators don't understand how it works. That's why now nothing is repaired, but parts are replaced.

something very gloomy and melancholy about the result.

I love this! It may not be what you first expected to get, but it's so nostalgic. A fav for me.
