While Dad entertained the boys with a selection of dangerous stuff involving forge, axe and air rifle, Mum and I headed into Ludlow for a morning of light clothes shopping and general browsing. Ludlow is a beautiful town full of ancient timbered buildings. We spent a lot of time in this shop - an Aladdin's cave of toys and decorations and gifts in small sloping-ceiling rooms linked by crooked stairs - looking for Easter themed presents for my little niece and nephew. We'd spied these three characters sitting on an upstairs window sill from the street outside.
