Did I Hear Someone Mention Something About A Stick?

Another perfect blue-sky-and-sunshine day, so we took off on a family walk with our friend Karen and her daughter Beth and the three dogs. We walked along the brook near Shepreth, where the woods are so overgrown there is a sign warning that trees may fall on your head. But it is lovely and shady on a hot day and perfect for the dogs to swim. As usual Storm was first in, chasing sticks. This is his "Eager Dog Waits Eagerly" look. Moments after this, Pip got stuck in the river; she has a deep-seated fear of jumping and couldn't scramble up the muddy bank like the other two - so we all got caked in mud and soaking wet hauling her out - a waterlogged border collie is deceptively heavy - luckily we were able to sit outside in the beer garden when we went for lunch in the pub on the way home - I don't think they would have let us inside! Amazingly William didn't fall in the river, although he tried his best!
awww Strom is so cuute!!

That is a happy dog I can tell. Dogs and water, children and water - both kind of natural and so fun to watch them enjoy. Love your picture!
