Days Like These

I had so much work planned for this week to get ahead for Christmas, but sometimes life doesn't co-operate. Will has been off school all week with a nasty throat-attacking bug. Poor thing has missed all the fun end- of-term stuff at school. This morning I took him to the doctor. We had a long wait. We called in at a small local shop on the way home to buy some sweets and when we came out found that a monumental delivery truck had parked right down the middle of the small car park skilfully trapping every single one of the 8 parked cars in their spaces for almost 20 minutes. The eldery man in the car next to mine was apoplectic with rage and harangued the delivery guys while they unloaded their crates. I'm sure they went extra slowly just to wind him up more (not that he needed it, the poor man looked as if he was about to explode). Meanwhile Will and I turned up the heating, put the radio on, scoffed our sweets and amused ourselves by writing messages in the steamed up car window. Actually, I think it was the most relaxing 20 minutes of the day! I was quite disappointed when the delivery truck pulled away and we had to get moving again!
Steamy window art, excellent, we have a little window in the back door of the kitchen which often gets steamed up from cooking so that gets pictures drawn on it! Good job you and Will had some supplies! hope he's better soon!
