Will went off to scout camp this morning - he'll be away for a full week with no phone contact. I know he'll be having a lovely time (there's canoeing and rock climbing and burning things and using knives - what's not to like?) but I can't wait to have him back - the house is far too quiet without him!
Mac and I took the dogs for a walk near Elsworth and then for a pub lunch. It was all a bit grey, and the path we chose turned out to be a bleak sort of concrete track across empty flat fields. However, a very nice lunch and glass of wine did cheer me up a bit!
My friend's 12 yr old just went to New Zealand to the final of a kids' Book Quiz & it's nearly killed her even though he was having a brilliant time. I'll be glad when Rachel gets back from Dorset - Adam's missing her & that's a nightmare!
