I'm adding this in as a filler from a few days later but I'm seeing this beautiful wild flower every day when I walk the dogs. It seems to be much more widespread this year than I've seen before, and it is so very pretty, I couldn't leave it out.
It's one of my favourite flowers - been looking for a good background for it. This hay field is lovely - I did that walk from Hardwick to Voton today (didn't quite make it as far as Coton) - the wild flowers were great.
Perhaps because there hasn't been much rain the flowers haven't been smothered by growing grass do you think ? These are very pretty & would be quite dear to buy in a garden centre!
