This was actually taken on 13th on my walk in Cambourne with the dogs, but I've filled in here as I forgot to take my camera with me today.
I spent the afternoon at a workshop on graphic novels (aka comics) - not thinking of a change of direction, but research for a character in the new book. The workshop was run by an amazingly talented comic artist called Karrie Fransman (definitely worth looking at her website - very creative and inspiring).
If you look very carefully you can just spot the dogs in the water to the right of the picture.
(For anyone who hasn't read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, the Whomping Willow is a fictional magical tree. I like to daydream that one day people will name lakes after characters in my books too!)
