The sky this morning was almost as blue as it was in Egypt last month. I took the dogs for a walk near Cambourne and luxuriated in Spring sunshine.
I crammed in an afternoon of work so that I could then head off into town with friends to see Tracey Thorn's Wordfest talk about her life as a slightly reluctant pop star. As ladies of a certain age we all have treasured Everything But The Girl records in our vinyl collections and thoroughly enjoyed a healthy dose of 80's nostalgia. Then, on to Cafe Rouge for dinner before ADC theatre for Funny Women, featuring four female stand-up comedians - some excellent and some, not quite so excellent, but all in all a lovely evening.
