I can't take any credit for the lovely clump of white and snakeshead fritillaries that pops up every year under the lime tree by my back door - they were there when we bought this plot, and must have been planted by the previous owners and must have been there over 20 years.
Three good things
1. Spring flowers everywhere, making up for lost time
2. The carrot cake I made this morning was yummy but the boys are home now and I can't see it lasting much longer.
3. Our little white hen is laying again (sounds like the first line of a nursery rhyme!)
