Full!

It's official. My head is now full and no further items of information will be admitted except on a one-in/one-out basis. I plan to install one of those automated signboards that they have for car parks to show how many spaces are available. Currently, it's zero.
It's mainly Ancient Egypt that's causing the congestion. There's just so much of it and trying to cram it all into my brain at once was always going to cause chaos. Then there are two schedules of football fixtures, complete with additional midweek games and last-minute switches plus two competitions of children's work to judge, and a blog full of comments to catch up with.

And that, is why, when I looked at the email to check the address for Ed's football match this morning at 10.36, I suddenly discovered that the kick-off was at 10.30, and not as I had thought, 2 pm. That was only half the problem. The other half was that I'd very efficiently thrown all his football kit into the washing machine only ten minutes earlier!
I was still trying to figure out how to override the door-lock function when we received the desperate call from the coach to say they only had nine men . . .
Five minutes later we were on the road, having found spare socks and shorts and fished the very soggy shirt out of the wash. We cranked the heating up to max, and Ed wafted the shirt - which was literally dripping wet - in front of the blower. The shirt didn't get any drier but we were cooked by the time we arrived at the pitch just before the end of the first half (did I mention this was an away match?) - just in time, as a team mate was injured and had to come off - upside: Ed got to borrow his shirt and was spared having to drip his way round the pitch, downside: still only nine men!
However, in a real nailbiter of a match they held the opposition to a draw.
Here they are, walking on for the second half.
Ed is on the left in the (borrowed) Number Seven shirt
Oh funny story but I think you can be excused as your head is still in Egypt!! Well done for a draw too!

Surely it's cricket season soon - more laid back. I was walking the dog in Cambourne at Easter and got a 'shouldn't Rachel be at the dentist?' text to which I could at least reply that she should manage her own diary (and I would have been able to get away with it if I'd told her about the appointment!)

Ancient Egypt obviously has a lot to answer for, causing such chaos! Hope you find some spare brain room soon! Those orange shirts are very orange! Well done number 7!!
