Last Christmas we gave Will a voucher for a "segway rally experience." Today we finally got around to using it. We headed off to the RAF museum in North London, unlikely home of, not only planes, but a segway track round the back. After Will and his friend had zipped about in the drizzle on their all-terrain segways, we went into the West End. They headed off to Hamleys (they're still big kids under the cool teenage exteriors) while I mooched happily around lots of big shiny expensive shops. I'm still a big kid too, and I love the sparkle of Christmas lights and decorations, like this beautiful Fortnum and Mason window display, featuring a magical over-the-top combination of Christmas puddings, gold things, candles and robins.
Oh dont you just love Christmas......mostly the whole feeling & build up,as much as anything....a lovely window.......beutiful things to buy. I am in the Christmas spirit after my visit to Emma Bridgewater today!
