The Power of Mincemeat Magic

Still on a seasonal theme, today is Stir Up Sunday. I made a big batch of mincemeat for mince pies. These salsa jars may not be the most attractive, and I'm sure Nigella wouldn't approve, but over the years I've come to the conclusion that they are the way to go, mincemeat-wise, for those of us with less than perfect spoon-to-eye co-ordnation. They are short and wide, making them easy to fill without getting sticky mincemeat juices all over the shop. Luckily, my boys get through industrial quantities of salsa with their tortilla chips through the year, so helping me building up a good stock of jars (they are so helpful!).
Of course, another vital part of making mincemeat is to ensure that everyone stirs and makes a wish. I can vouch for the power of mincemeat magic - all the wishes I have made over the years have come true. I just hope the mincemeat magic doesn't let me down this year.

Younare a star making your own mincemeat....I used to but we use so little now that I just buy it....won't be half as nice as yours though! I am not a mince meat fan really so it's wasted on me.
