I loved taking part in the first Wimpole History Festival, talking about the historical settings of the Secrets of the Tombs books. OK, so Lucy Worsely packed a slightly bigger crowd into the marquee than I did, but with a beautiful setting, blue skies, and some lovely enthusiastic families of readers, it was a perfect day.
