This old covered bridge was originally built in 1769, according to the sign on it. A few years ago, the town of Brookline saved it from being destroyed and placed it on these concrete abutments of an old railroad bridge. They also built a small matching bridge at the park across the street. My son loved the "JS + PB 4-ever!" that some one wrote n the bridge rail. He said that meant jelly sandwich plus peanut butter forever! LOL!
@digitalrn I hate to see something this old destroyed, too. Glad they saved it. It's fabulous. Quite a few people where there taking pictures of it today. @swilde@paulam He's 11 -- food is an important part of his life! LOL!
