On the last day of the year there was a camel race about an hours drive from our house. I wanted to go and Yelena went with me. The race started at 7am in the morning and Google maps wanted me to go on to the race track. I parked not in a visitors parking, but in between the trailers and camels. When we wanted to walk to the stands, we were almost flattened by a lot of big white cars in a hurry.
We were the only ones in the stands and after a while a very enthusiastic voice blasted out of the speakers. Yelena is taking Arabic at school and could make out numbers and names - obviously from the camels.
A little later we saw a lot of dust and then cars and camels. It was very interesting to watch.
