We watched 3 races coming in and were amazed by all the cars driving next to the camels. Once the camels are in, the cars turn around to go back for the next race. We were surprised that no car accidents did happen.
It was quite an experience and definitely not a tourist attraction. We were the only women and the only non-Omani's there! Although I must say everybody who noticed us was super friendly!
