after celebrating Mother's Day, a concept came to me that we are celebrating in the same ways that we used to and in a totally different way as well. When children are young, a lovely handprint painting or a bouquet of flowers from a little fist that can hardly hold them tugs at a mom's heartstrings and we had that celebration...at almost 92 my mom's favorite gift was that her daughter has a favorable breast cancer prognosis...it tugged at her heartstrings as well. today was even better, pathology reports came back...margins are clear and so are lymph nodes. so here are our two sides of our Mother's Day blended in this picture. I thank God for them both. We are so blessed. (Can't take full photo cred for this because my great-niece Emily took the photo of my mom...she is 9 and we are working on back button focusing)
@kph129 thanks Kristin, it is great news...one more step in the pathology but we are praying for the best there as well...appreciate the comments as always!
@samzee thanks! I guarantee she will be a far better photographer than I am! I just about give her parents heart attacks every time I give her $2000 worth of equipment to walk around with! she's good and not afraid to shoot...she'll get the fiddling part later. nobody ever says no to her either cuz she's young!
So Happy to hear the good news. Your niece did good, as before unread your bit I was going to tell you this was probably my favorite of all your photos. It is still one of my favorites from your postings.
@lifeisasufferingodyssey@lisamccloskey@aat3877@flygirl@nicoleterheide thanks for the comments and well wishes everyone. I try to use Emily's photos on my fb page so her mom can show them to her to keep her liking photography. this came out pretty well since I only have elements to do this kind of work. takes me some time but I get it done!
