today was my sister's last chemo treatment! despite winds of 30-40mph we were able to take our signs and balloons to the hospital and show up one by one in the courtyard outside her room entertaining not only her but staff, other patients and people on the upper floors of the building. After a ginger ale toast my sister presented her 5 chemo nurses with quilts she made them. 5 more will be given to the front desk staff next week at her follow up appointment. Many tears, much joy!
@californialover@sdutoit@bernicrumb@vstap@dmcoile@kimdavis thank you all for the good wishes. there were certainly lots of smiles and tears! she still has radiation but I think the ill feelings will be going away now and the hair will grow back. a bit more normal for her.
