a trip to Frankenmuth today with my sis and bil. a town where everything is German! the family style meal of fried chicken and wonderful sides like buttered noodles and mashed potatoes with gravy and of course stollen (bread dotted with fruit) is actually world famous! it is also home to the world's largest Christmas store. Bronner's has literally thousands and thousands of ornaments big and small and some life-sized! at the end of our meal I spotted this fellow alone at the bar so I shot past the stein. later he was joined by a pretty lady in a long blue dress! the fellow on the left side behind the glass is actually a mannequin dressed in lederhosen! : ) Auf wiedersehen!
Ah Frankenmuth....we have a family joke about going to Bronners on one of the few days they are closed (open 361 days a year and we picked a wrong day). Have had many family occasions there.
