my online photography class has a lesson on the perceptions of just looking at a photograph. I know my daughter would not be happy with me sharing this but I think it looks one way and the truth is quite opposite. the look on her face is from me taking the picture. I never get many with her and her son, candids anyway. she's quite pregnant now and is holding her baby belly. she looks a bit disconnected from my little guy but the opposite is true. this is the first minute they've sat all day. she doesn't let him watch much television. maybe 20 minutes a day. she just put on a Thomas the Train video. her day was something like this. wake up, get him breakfast, do some cleaning and then I came over to paint the nursery. we colored Easter eggs before I started which was somewhat of a fail as we used dyes made from foods and they didn't turn out too well. clean up that, he is potty training and that in itself is quite the chore. snacks, lunch, up and down the steps, outside to play, come see what grandma is doing. doing dishes, dusting. doing art project. let out the dogs (they have 4). try to get in a nap. dad has to step in and get him down because her ribs are hurting so bad. grandpa comes over, wakes him up early and it starts all over again. pictures may not be what they seem. by the way, I think she looks beautiful but she never sees it.
