struggled with my shot choice today. was shooting detroit at 6:15 am with time to kill before my volunteer shift at 6:45. couldn't walk it, couldn't go too far. shot a lot of pics but not perfect on any of them. wish I had been walking. I think this was my favorite because of the encroachment of the light into a place it will never fully reach. there is still some detail in the light at the end of the photo too. many shots had no detail as the sun was so incredibly bright at this time of the morning. one thing I like about shooting at this time is that hardly anyone is around. sadly I did see some of the guests that would visit us later in the morning for a meal and a shower or medical treatment, laundry and clean clothes and personal care items. I worked the coffee station and as it was a very cold night, a hot cup of coffee was the first thing asked for coming in the door.
