this is one of my best friends. she has lymphoma. she told me yesterday that even with treatment she may only have up to 8 years to live...maybe less. I am praying for more. if you would too I would appreciate it. for now, she is making memories with her grandchildren and the rest of her family and her very blessed friends.
Sorry to hear of your friends illness. I believe being optimistic and positive goes a long way towards fighting this terrible disease. Our prayers go out to your friend and her family. Making those precious memories to last a lifetime, is a great start. My Mom passed away almost 6 years ago (my boys were only 9 and 12) and they have wonderful memories of time spent with their Grandma.
Oh no. I'm not particularly religious but I do hope very much that your friend has more time to spend with her family and her friends. My brother has cancer also. The doctor told him there was an 80% chance he would be dead within 12 months. His 12 months were up last July and hes still going. Every day is a bonus ☺
@katrinanz oh my! I lost a sister and a brother in a six month period. Siblings are such a different relationship. I am glad you have had so much more time with him and I will pray for even more. So devastating - cancer is awful : (
Lovely picture. So sorry to hear about your friend and your own personal losses. I too have lost a sister to cancer. It's hard to find someone these days that hasn't been touched by this disease.
@cheekylulu@frappa77@nicoleterheide agreed too many with this awful disease...I hope we can do a lot to make some good memories for all! (and that the odds are wrong)
