today Detroit lost an icon...Mike Ilitch. He built an empire with a pizza business and started the revitalization of the city. He loved his sports teams, the Tigers and Red Wings. More than that he will be remembered for his philanthropy. Generations to come will benefit from his gifts to the community. I believe he has stepped over the edge of glory tonight...Rest well Mr. Ilitch...
Nice image in memory of Mike Ilitch. I live in Brighton now but grew up in Detroit and worked in the D most of my adult life...he sure did a lot for our city.
