although it has been replaced with a new, safer version of this bridge, my siblings and I took a family photo for my parent's 25 wedding anniversary at this location. I was in 9th or 10th grade. I would guess about 14 or 15 years old. so 45 years ago. my brother had gotten hit by a car 3 days before. we had to sneak him out of the house (a cut with some stitches on his head was the only injury) and my mom was so mad at us because she didn't know where he was. I don't know what lie we told to cover up the secret. we had the shoot scheduled with a professional photographer and had to keep it to have the photo done in time for their surprise party. the sunset was particularly pretty...it was a bonus after we had seen but unsucessfully photographed about 20 bald eagles a bit up the road from this location. all in all a pleasant, crisp afternoon.
