Just back from my cycling trip to Strasbourg, and so catching up as best I can.This is not my photograph, but was taken at our departure point at the Palais de Versailles on Sunday. It was a wet and misty start and the weather was atrocious on some days throughout the week's cycling, but we all made it safely over 700 km to Strasbourg. It was a wonderful week.
I'm the one with the yellow 'shower cap' over my helmet. It was my most useful piece of wet weather gear for the week!
I can relate....i went to France in August one year and only packed shorts. The weather was so awful that I had to wash the one pair of jeans that I had in the sink and dry them with a blow dryer because that is all that I wore.
