My mother-in-law and her two sisters were named after flowers...her two sisters are Marguerite and Iris...she is Pansy. She says she never forgave her father for giving her that particular flower name. :-)
@gaylewood Flowers must have been popular in those days. My mum's sister was Violet, a still born sister was Daisy and her mum, my granny, was Lilly! My mum escaped the flowers, but she got the best ... Jemima! She was always known by her middle name, Janet. I wonder why?!
