Well, despite hubby being in hospital, the kids and I went to the rugby match last night at the new U Arena in Nanterre. A very special evening in a very interesting stadium. The first time I went there, it was for the Rolling Stones opening concert in October. A very different feel for the rugby. Racing won against Toulouse 23-19. A good evening was had by all.
Positive things : The kids are both home. Hubby is getting out of hospital this afternoon. The house in Scotland has a roof and windows! I may manage to buy the Christmas turkey today! All together a more positive day, I feel. :-)
No time for commenting and browsing photos at the moment, but I'll be back later in the day.
Sounds like everything is lining up to be a great Christmas. Family, food & spending time together are the prefect gift to receive. All the best to you and yours this Christmas Issi. :)
Yay! So happy to hear your husband is feeling better! I've already viewed your next photo so I know he is home now...definitely cause for another Yay! Love this photo of your children but most of all love the fact that you could spend this special time with them. You might have noticed I don't mention my son much . . . if we ever find ourselves sitting together over a cup of coffee or tea I'll tell you the whole story. It's a bit sad but who knows, it still might have a happy ending. I must be feeling nostalgic rambling on like this...Christmas usually has a way of doing that to me. :-)
@gaylewood Oh Gayle, I'm feeling very disheartened to hear that you have sadness in your life ... and I truly hope that there is a happy ending. I look forward to that coffee which we WILL have one day! Christmas is a time for nostalgia, and of course it can be a sad time when we're thinking of loved ones who are not around - for whatever reason. I hope that on this eve of Christmas that you are surrounded by loved ones and that you have a wonderful Christmas. xx
@jamibann@jamibann Thank you so much for your heartfelt reply, Issi! I did spend Christmas Eve surrounded by loved ones and we had a special family evening together. I’m at the airport now, waiting for our flight to Toronto. We’re spending the rest of the week there with my in-laws. I’m looking forward to getting lots of snow photos. I hope you’ve had an enjoyable Christmas Day with family. That’s what makes this season special. Again, thank you for your wonderful reply. :-)
