We visited Ekebergparken sculpture park in Oslo yesterday afternoon. We found this statue, by Danish-Norwegian sculptor team Elmgreen and Dragset, to be the best of the lot - and there were a lot, some of them very bizarre! What you don't see from this image is that the boy is perched on the edge of a dive board. His position shows that he's both excited and scared about taking the jump. The sculpture serves as a metaphor for entering the adult world, where there is pressure to act.
We did not get upThe Sneak Peak as it was having teething problems on re-opening, but the views we got from this park on the hill were undoubtedly just as good, if not better!
