Oslo has many fantastic pieces or architecture, and having seen a lot of the main ones, I searched this area out. The buildings in the background are known as 'Barcode' - because of the shape, colour and gaps between the buildings. There are 12 high-rise buildings, each designed by different architectural firms, but collectively resembling a barcode.
The bridge in front of the image is the Acrobat Bridge, which connects Grønland with Bjørvika and crosses the rail lines just beside Oslo Central Station.
This has some really unusual architecture - can understand the term "barcode" for those buildings. But those steel II assume) L-shaped pieces are what fascinates me.
You certainly do an outstanding job searching out interesting areas in the cities you visit for photographs! Those high-rise buildings really do resemble a barcode...amazing! The acrobat bridge is fascinating with all the wonderful angles. :-)
@gaylewood Thank you Gayle ... I love the interest factor it gives me when pounding the streets with my camera and if it's interesting to others too, then all the better. Back in Paris now, but I'll keep on looking for interesting stuff!
