Sayonara Nippon by jamibann

Sayonara Nippon

Well, here we are at the airport, after a wonderful holiday in Japan. We made the most of our last day, visiting the National Art Centre in the morning, having a lunch of sushi and then visiting the International Forum in the afternoon. We covered 16 km on foot, and so are hoping to sleep some on the forthcoming flight. I give you this i-phone image from the Art Centre. I can’t tell you the artist as it was written only in Japanese. There were so many wonderful paintings there - I could have stayed for hours, but only had the one!!! The building too was magnificent, as was the International Forum. I’ll hopefully post a couple of these once we are back home.

The artist has caught the sheen & silvery scales beautifully...Prehistoric fish I presume....so different to the fish we know today.

In addition to what others have said, I’d like to add that the backdrop colours/shades/texture are, IMHO...just splendid!

@s4sayer There were so many wonderful paintings by unknown, to me, Japanese artists. I was gobsmacked by the talent on display.
