Tokyo National Art Centre, Roppongi

This was quite a building! Inside and out. I loved everything about it.

The building was designed by Kisho Kurokawa, and is one of the largest exhibition spaces in the country. NACT is an 'empty museum', without a permanent collection. I chose to go and see the Japanese Fine Arts exhibition as it was all I had time for. It was magnificent, as I think I mentioned in yesterday's post!

This is taken from the second floor looking down on the museum shop and café.

We are back home now, after 30 hours of travel. Third load of washing already on ... and more to come! I'll be catching up gradually on commenting.
Wow, it reminds me a bit of a hot air balloon with the shape fanning out as it goes up. Welcome home! All the best with the laundry!!

A good use of "standers-by" to provide perspective for the largeness of the exhibit space.
