After waiting an appropriate amount of time on Wednesday morning ... 'baby' number two popped up, flexing his wings! What a magnificent couple of hours spent watching this little family. Poor mum has been shoved to be back of the eyrie as these two show off. Dad just continued to chat with them, flying around in the background, but never showed himself to me.
Fantastic capture Issi…what a wonderful reward for all your patience! Two well grown babies..mum & dad will be very proud! I bet your dad is enjoying seeing these pictures too… the detail on that wing! Dad is probably instructing on the need to be out of that nest very soon…..lots of worldly advice!
These osprey photos are fantastic. So fortunate to have their nest close to your home and spending time watching and waiting. The colours are beautiful and focus is so clear. 😊
This really is stunning. I watched the Cambridge peregrines circling over M&S during the week and then on Thursday there was a buzzard being harassed by a crow before I’d even left our road. I marvelled at the fact that raptors are doing so much better than in my youth - unusual that something is actually thriving! The garden is full of feathers so I’m thinking the sparrow hawk may have been visiting too. BUT ospreys - we’d still have to travel a good long way for a sighting of them!!
