Our Monday Walking Group had a nice 8 km flattish walk in the area around the Birkhall Estate, which is where the now King Charles still comes to stay fairly regularly. You know when he's in residence, as the security detail is increased somewhat and men in suits pop up in strange places if you should wander off the beaten track. However, all was quiet yesterday, and we walked around the ruins of Knock Castle and round the old boathouse on Loch Ullachie. There were a couple of interesting moments as several of the gates were padlocked and we had to climb over - not an easy feat for some of our older lady walkers!
Susan, pictured, is the long standing photographer for these walks, so I just occasionally catch a sneaky shot of a view I know she won't be able to capture!
That looks really lovely and a bit of an optical illusion going on with the pier as well. Looks like its suspended in space! Say G'day to King Chuck for me :)
Lovely shot of the photographer photographing the photographer. Pity you couldn't come across Charles and Camilla, but I suppose they are pretty busy having the thrones refurbished and new crowns fitted.
@laroque@shutterbug49@taffy I think the waterproof cover being puffed up by the wind makes the bag look bigger than it actually is. But she does carry a first aid kit. And waterproofs and a flask of tea or coffee. But, not much more than that on these short walks.
