This was taken on Wednesday last week at our coffee stop on the way down from the second of our Munros of the day - Meall nan Eun (The Rounded Hill of the Birds) - as the visibility started to improve. It was a lovely walk, but not for photography - poor visibility all the way, with the occasional clearing as we descended. Normally we'd have had a good view down to Glen Etive from here. I liked how John merged with his surroundings!
Classic low cloud in the hills. I can see the glen down there......just.....we went all the way along it and really enjoyed its twists and turns and all the stags we met.
@maggiemae Ah, now, I haven't read that one. I did read her first book though, The Salt Path, and enjoyed it (if that is the correct word - it was quite upsetting in parts). I must check out Landlines. Thanks for mentioning it.
@casablanca It's a long drive in and we have now done it four times - a recce, an aborted walk and two Munro walks! It is very scenic, though. We saw stags too, on a couple of occasions - the deer must be regulars there as there are lots of signs warning people not to feed them.
@ludwigsdiana It's the river Allt Ceitlein you're seeing, Diana, which runs into the river Etive. But there is also a walker's path which pretty much follows the river down the glen.
