We are having a group of friends to stay next weekend, and his nibs was determined to have mackerel to cook on the barbecue! I think there will be enough, after his day spent in Stonehaven yesterday! I couldn't go, as I had a golf match in the morning and was helping to set up marquees and gazebos in the afternoon in anticipation of the Rendezvous walkers meet at Balmoral today.
Harry loves mackerel & they are so good for you! I’m wondering how John caught them? Is the strange tool on the left anything to do with it? Perhaps flies? Not bait I doubt?
Is the wooden object on the left something he used to fish and then knock them about the head? I know little about mackorel. I hope your guests enjoy them.

That is the only fish I do not eat due to a very bad experience in Turkey ;-)
