This one's for Milanie @milaniet Spotted the other week on our garden fence. I didn't post it at the time as there were too many other options! Your one is much pinker on the nose and feet Milanie.
These guys are like the creepiest things in the world. They move slow, refuse to acknowledge you and should really not be out in the light of day, and yet, here it is. Great shot. Creep. ;)
@darylo Yes, I've seen this guy once before at night, foraging in our garden. However, this was in broad daylight, on top of our fence - don't know how he got up there! A bit of a creep, you're right!
@jamibann Oh, they love the trees too (as their tale allows balance and hanging if they like). YOu could throw a rock at it and it might move a couple of inches. They like to let you know who's boss! LOL. It is odd when they are out during the day.
Oh! I had a possum that was sleeping with the barn cats this winter, but I could never get a picture (they aren't very attractive creatures). It mostly laid there and growled at me. This is great!
Great catch. I never noticed the delicate little ears before. I have to tell a funny story. Two friends of mine went to the zoo. At the zoo, they saw a possum and one friend said to the other " I never saw one of those alive before. Only flattened in the road."
@jamibann He's a cutie (if you can say that about these guys!) You were able to get closer than I was, that's for sure. I was shooting through the kitchen window when something spooked him and never got to get a 2nd shot. Love your shot.
Hoping to lure a raccoon into a photo, I'd set out food & marshmallows, but I got two big possums and a lovely cat that I've never seen during the day!
