I lived in Paris from 1986 to 1988. And while I get a quick dose by bringing students every few years, it never ceases to tug at my heartstrings. Thank you for your perspective—you see it very much as I do.

@squamloon Interestingly, I lived in Paris (or at least the suburbs, Chatou and Courbevoie) from 87-88, so we were here at the same time! I cam back again from 2002-2005 (Croissy sur Seine) and have been back this time since 2014. We won't be here forever, so I do try to make the best of every opportunity. Tomorrow I'm going down to L'Orangerie to see an American art exhibition from the 30s. Looking forward to it and hopefully will get a photo or two to post.
