went for a walk through the woods on the side of Edgehill today. It is the site of the battle of Edgehill which was the first battle between the Roundheads and the Cavaliers in the English Civil War almost 400 years ago. The place is so tranquil, it is hard to imagine the terrible things that must have happened there.
